Austin McGowan is the President of ArcVista Advisory, where he works closely with individuals, families, and business owners to help them navigate important financial decisions with clarity, confidence, and a long-term perspective.
Austin brings experience across valuation, investment banking, and private equity, giving him a broad perspective when advising clients through complex financial and business planning considerations. He began his career at PwC in Washington, D.C., where he worked in valuation advisory, before joining Jefferies as an Investment Banking Analyst focused on mergers and acquisitions within the Logistics and Transportation sector. He later worked in private equity at KPS Capital Partners in New York and Platinum Equity in Beverly Hills, where he partnered with business owners and management teams on operational improvement initiatives, long-term strategic planning, and liquidity events.
Today, Austin applies that analytical background to personalized wealth management and financial planning. He works with clients across a wide range of financial situations — including business owners, retirees, executives, and families seeking personalized guidance around investment management, retirement planning, business-owner planning considerations, and long-term wealth strategy.
Austin believes financial advice should be both strategic and personal. His approach is grounded in thoughtful analysis, clear communication, and building long-term relationships centered around each client’s unique goals and priorities. He focuses on helping clients make informed financial decisions with confidence while developing plans designed to evolve alongside their lives and changing circumstances.
Austin graduated summa cum laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in Biology. He lives with his wife, Sarah, and their Goldendoodle, Ruby. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and following sports.
